Amy's dance journey began when she followed her mum to Latin classes. Every night they would practice at home dancing around the bedroom. Since then she has experience in a variety of dances like Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap, Latin, Salsa, Bachata and finally found her passion in West Coast Swing. Amy is easily recognised by her huge smile, high pitch laughter and eagerness to teach. She isn't shy of being silly on the dance floor.

Amy Hoe

Amir Clyde

Amir began dancing in 2006, picking up Salsa with the initial intention of improving his footwork for futsal. However, during an event in 2009, he had the privilege to watch a West Coast Swing performance by world champions, Jordan and Tatiana. So began his journey into the amazing world of WCS. The appeal of being able to dance to a variety of musical genres made it all the more exciting. West Coast Swing is able transform anyone with two-left feet into seasoned dancers. He believes it is an avenue to express what we we feel and that's what dancing is all about.

Gus Takow

Gus began partner and social dancing in 2009 and has never looked back since. From Salsa to Bachata and then WCS. Having learnt from some of the very best the WCS universe has to offer he believes proper foundation, conditioning, technique and practice are key to self-development. If you're ever in the mood to dance to something insanely fast... He's your guy

Carmen Chan

When she was little, Carmen loved dancing so much that she never missed an opportunity to join any of the dance communities in her school; she explored traditional dances, contemporary and pop dances. But there was no turning back ever for her since she joined her first West Coast Swing socials in 2016. She loves the connection, partnership and creativity that this dance has to offer. Catch her for a dance at our weekly WCS socials!

Three months into Latin, Ee Lin found Salsa at a practice session and since then she's been hooked on social dancing. After a decade in the social dance scene, she decided to explore West Coast Swing and hasn't looked back. She enjoys creating fun moments with her partner and makes an active effort to dance with everyone before leaving the dance floor! Whether you're new to this dance or have been doing it for sometime, she's the perfect partner to have on the dance floor.

Yie Hahn found WCS at a chance encounter at a Salsa event in January 2014 and has been dancing WCS ever since. He has since performed and competed in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Korea. He believes in bringing back the 'Social' in social dancing and that getting better should be part of the fun. You can usually find him dancing with every follow (and lead) at our weekly social dances.

Yie Hahn

Joylene's dance journey began at a tender age of 7 when her mom enrolled her for gymnastics, however even though with all the exposure to solo dances such as ballet, gymnast, hip-hop, contempt etc. Joylene never really fancied them till she was introduced to West Coast Swing by a friend in 2015. Since then she has been driven by how versatile WCS can be danced to any song! She is easily recognisable with rainbow hair on the dance floor!

Thomas comes from a Latin dance background of 7 years and was introduced to West Coast Swing back in 2014 as an alternative non impact sport due to an unfortunate slipped disc injury. He fell in love with the idea of being able to dance to endless genres of music. Ever since then the dance and the community has really made a great impact in his life. His favourite move so far is a body roll with a wink!
